A PIECE OF ME: LOVE

I asked God about love, I asked Him how to love, and He gave me the most precious answer. I never thought I will learn love in a form of four-legged soul. And to think it's not even my own! God's way was so unexpected. 

The day my friend and neighbor brought home a puppy was the day God thought me about love, it was love at first sight. She named him Looper and since then Looper became my bestest bestfriend. Little did I know that I would learn to give love and service through this tiny soul. I have always been a loner and Looper was such a blessing for me. God taught me a lot of things through Looper. 

Things I learned from my bubba:

1. Being vocal in saying " I love you" to my family especially my sister.

2. Being affectionate. 

3. Sharing my food especially boiled egg (It's kind of hard for me to share my food with other people and through Looper I got to learn to share. Boiled eggs are my favorite)

4. Putting others before myself, As I took care of Looper, I learn to put his needs first before mine.

5. Acts of service. As I dog sit Looper from time to time (sometimes it would take 3 weeks to a month)

 I learn to give him the best of care I can give. 

5. My love and concern for other animals have increased.

6. Taking action. I learn to care for strays too. Whenever I got the chance, I feed them. 

7. Protect those I love.

8. Love unconditionally.

9. Patience.

10. To give more than to receive. 

11. Showing up and commitment.

It's been 5 years since Looper came and everyday it's a joy to see him and spend time with him, the walkies, the sniff day, the hugs and the kisses are the best part of my day every day. So many times, I thank God for Looper because truly he is heaven sent to me.
